Heritage Inn in Whittier had some decent aspects, but overall, it left much to be desired. The air conditioning worked well, keeping the room cool during the hot days. The flat-screen TV provided ample entertainment options during downtime, which I appreciated. However, I faced several issues. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, making it uncomfortable to breathe. The bathroom was in poor condition, with cracked mirrors and a shower that didn’t feel clean. I noticed questionable tagging on the walls, which gave the place a rundown feel. I had to ask for a refund due to the state of the room, as it was honestly the worst experience I’ve encountered at a hotel. Much improvement is needed to bring the standards up.

The stay was primarily to enjoy the nearby parks, and we had some mixed feelings. The large room was a highlight, offering plenty of space to relax after our adventures. However, there was an unpleasant smell, which really dampened the experience. Despite some drawbacks, being pet-friendly was a nice touch for our family trip, allowing us to bring along our furry friend.

Family with children beware!
Honestly, the moments we tried to enjoy our family holiday were overshadowed by the overall experience. I kept thinking about the stained linens, and there was just a bad vibe, like not safe at all. Found a syringe inside the pillow! Really?
It wasn’t cheap staying here, and I expected a much better experience.

It was handy to have a large room for our family and the kids enjoyed the pet-friendly environment. The spacious layout allowed us to unwind after a long day of exploring the areas nearby, including a fun trip to Microsoft Theater, which is not far!
For dads, it would be great if the bathroom was cleaner.
